  • 46903 Sugarland Rd Sterling, VA 20164 USA (map)

Join us at Qahwa for a 3D Printing Workshop led by Sulayman Ahmad!

Designed for Adults, this introductory workshop teaches the basics of 3D printing and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) accompanied by demonstrations and exploration of materials used.  The later portion of the workshop focuses on attendees designing their own models with guidance from Br. Sulayman.

At the workshop's conclusion, attendees will submit their digital models to Br. Sulayman and return the 2 weeks after the workshop (Saturday, November 2nd) to pick up and take home their physical 3D printed models.  (A 3D printer typically takes at least an hour to produce one model).  If unable to pick-up the model at that time, Qahwa will hold the model until you are able to pick it up.

Prior to the workshop, attendees will need to bring create a free Tinkercad Account (linked here).  Select the "Personal Account Option and use your email or a parent's email to sign up.

Attendees will need to bring a fully charged laptop to work off of during the class.  The ticket price covers all material costs required for 3D printing your model.

This workshops is targeted at beginners.  If you have little to no practical experience or understanding of 3D printing, this is the event for you!  Please reach out to us via email or Instagram if you have any questions, concerns, or requests!
