Dive into the world of Islamic Calligraphy!  Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of the Arabic script and join us in an evening of awe-inspiring workshop led by calligrapher Yusuf Karipek!

The workshop is open to Adults (Ages 18+) with a focus on the Thuluth (One Third) script.  This is large, elegant cursive script used on mosque decorations. 

All materials (pens, papers, and ink) will be provided and are fully covered by the ticket cost.  Attendees can keep their pens and paper after the workshop concludes to further improve their skills!

The workshops are targeted at beginners.  If you have little to no practical experience with calligraphy or simply want to learn about the history of the craft, this is the event for you!

About Yusuf Karipek

Initially trained under his father, Saban Karipek, Yusuf Karipek continues to engage in this art under various masters from the Turkish School of Calligraphy.  Many of Saban Karipek's projects, spanning over 35 years, include calligraphy for Mosques and community centers across the country.  The school's work is to keep the historic art alive and introduce it to broader audience.
