Join us this Saturday for the return of Qahwa's Open Mic Night in honor of Sudan!

Headlined by spoken word artist Bayadir and hosted by comedian Ltgeeks, showcase your talents and passions to make this a night to remember!  Whether you are a seasoned veteran or a first time performer, we can't wait to see your stuff!  Open to spoken word artist, poets, comedians, musicians and more!  (The Open Mic may be in honor of Sudan but performances are welcome regarding any and all topics!)

Audience tickets are $5 while donations are greatly appricated to help fund future events!  Performer tickets are FREE, and must be 16+

About Bayadir

Bayadir Mohamed-Osman is a Sudanese American author, poet, public health professional, and community activist. She completed her Master's in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University and specializes in social justice and health disparities.  Currently, she works on Sudanese mutual aid, diaspora initiatives, and developmental work with Gisa Group and Sunduq Al Sudan. Bayadir has also, worked with RTI International and Sustainable Development Response Organization (suDRO) on Sudanese health initiatives during the 2019 revolution and current war. Bayadir’s poetry has garnered over a million views leading to performances throughout the USA.

About Ltgeek

Ltgeeks is a DMV-based Sudanese comedian recognized for his entertaining skit videos and stand-up comedy skills. He is an active member of SACDO and SlamDunkForSudan, showcasing his dedication to Sudan. Through his comedy, he aims not only to make people laugh but also to make them feel seen.
