Join us for the Grounding with Guest Speaker Imam Anwar Arafat!

Visiting from Memphis, Tennessee, Imam Arafat will discuss Defining Identity in this special session for young working professionals (Ages 21+).  Modern society has no shortage of identities, but in such uncertain times we are too often uncertain in our own identities as Muslims in a Western World.  How can we combat this uncertainty and define not just place our place in society to others, but our sense of purpose for ourselves? 

Doors open at 7:30.  Event starts promptly at 8:00.

About Imam Arafat

Anwar Arafat has served for 11 Years as an Imam in Salt Lake City and Nashville and is currently an Imam for the Islamic Association of Greater Memphis. Arafat has a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from The Graduate Theological Foundation, and a masters degree in Islamic Leadership from the Islamic Seminary of America (TISA) in Dallas, Texas. He is also a speaker for Sapience Institute and the U.S. Outreach Specialist for IERA, an international Dawah organization.
