Join us at Qahwa for an Artist Talk and Workshop featuring with Raneem Tarfa!

Raneem Tarfa is an Egyptian-American multimedia artist based in the DMV. Her paintings, which feature verses from the Quran, are currently on display at Qahwa.  Her style focuses on surrealism, vivid colors, Arabic typography, and building texture with layers of paint. She is inspired by designs in nature such as the fluid-like patterns in wood.

This event will comprise of a talk where Raneem will discuss her painting process, use of color theory and composition, and inspiration.  Following the talk will be a painting workshop where attendees can paint their very own works and an art sale where you can purchase some of Raneem's prints!
